Last weekend’s snowstorm wiped out the annual Pro Vita Awards Mass and ceremony at St. James Cathedral-Basilica in Downtown Brooklyn. Father Michael Gelfant, diocesan liaison to the Knights of Columbus, a co-sponsor of the event, announced that it has been rescheduled for March 5 at 5 p.m.
The Little Sisters of the Poor, who maintain Queen of Peace Residence, Queens Village, will be the recipient of the Father Michael J. McGivney Medal for Life.
The Bishop Thomas V. Daily Pro Vita Award will be presented to the doctors, nurses, and team at Calvary Hospital, Brooklyn campus at NYU Lutheran Hospital, Sunset Park.
