Bishop-elect James Massa celebrated a Tridentine Mass in Latin at Holy Name Church, Park Slope, on June 19, to pray for peace in the Middle East.
Assisting the bishop-elect on the altar were Father Stephen Saffron, who served as deacon and Father Joseph Zwosta, subdeacon.
Following the 7 p.m. Mass, Edward Clancy addressed the congregation about the important work of Aid to the Church in Need.
