Prayer Service Remembers Dr. King (with slideshow)

The diocesan Vicariate for Black Catholic Concerns conducted a prayer service Jan. 21 at St. Teresa of Avila Church, South Ozone Park, to commemorate the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Readings from Scripture as well as the writing of Dr. King, along with personal reflections, were interspersed with prayers and hymns. Participants included retired Auxiliary Bishop Guy Sansaricq and Father Bryan Patterson, pastor of Sacred Heart, Cambria Heights, who was the featured speaker.
