Police Still Looking for Suspects in St. Anastasia Church Burglary

DOUGLASTON — New York City police detectives are still seeking information regarding a burglary at St. Anastasia Church, Douglaston, on Friday, Aug. 26.

According to the police report, three unidentified men pried open a back door to the rectory at about 1:45 a.m. The robbers took a safe, credit cards, and about $125 before fleeing the church and headed south on 245th Street in a light-colored SUV.

An NYPD spokesperson said on Sept. 15 that the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477)
