Father Thomas Brislin, C.P., was recently elected as the new superior of Immaculate Conception Passionist Monastery in Jamaica Estates. More than 40 religious from the Passionist community witnessed his formal installation by Provincial Father Robert Joerger, C.P., on July 3.Father Brislin, above, second from left, previously served in Botswana, Africa; Jamaica, West Indies; Nassau, Bahamas; as well as in the U.S.

Great. Bob. Though My contact with you has been as a weekly Sunday mass attendee and participant, I have grown very attached to your warm and friendly direction as my spiritual leader. God bless you and remain with you as you move on to your next assignment. May your sabbatical year be filled with the light of Christ, and may you be guided in your personal and professional refreshment in the same fashion that you have guided us and the wonderful men and women under your care and direction as Provincial.
