Kevin Sweeney is born to James and Agnes Sweeney in Elmhurst, Queens.

SEPTEMBER 1976

He begins attending St. Luke’s Elementary School, Whitestone. It is here in the seventh grade, he begins thinking about the priesthood for the first time.

SEPTEMBER 1984

Kevin begins studying at Cathedral Prep Seminary, Elmhurst. He says he decided to go there because of the possibility of becoming a priest, and because the school had a baseball team and “it was not that difficult to make the team”…
