Five graduating high school seniors who all ran for the St. Francis de Sales, Belle Harbor, Catholic Youth Organization track team ran in their final race together, the CHSAA Outdoor Track and Field Intersectional Championships, held at Randall’s Island Park.

The runners were Devin Rocks (Bishop Ford H.S., Park Slope), Patrick Goldberg (Archbishop Molloy H.S., Briarwood), Jimmy Buckley (Xavier H.S., Manhattan), Billy Dunn (Xavier) and Tommy Mercer (Molloy).

Rocks placed third in the 1600-meter race; Goldberg finished 11th in the 3000-meter steeplechase; Buckley came in fifth in the 4X800-meter relay; and Dunn finished 21st in the 4X400-meter relay.

In 2007, these five runners placed one through five for the St. Francis de Sales team at the fall CYO track championships.
