TACHS EXAM
The TACHS Exam is mandatory for eighth-grade students who wish to attend a Catholic high school for the 2012-2013 school year.
St. John’s Preparatory School, Astoria, is offering seven review classes covering mathematical, English and test-taking skills required for the TACHS exam. It also includes two timed practice exams. The course runs Sept. 22 to Nov. 3, on six Saturdays 9 – 11:30 a.m. and Wednesdays, Oct. 17, 3:30 to 6 p.m. The costs is $250 including books. Call 721-7200 ext.699.

 

TACHS Calendar
Sept. 18, 6-8 p.m.: Open House with information about diocesan high schools and the TACHS exam, St. Francis College, Brooklyn Heights.
Sept. 27, 6-8 p.m.: Open House with information about diocesan high schools and the TACHS exam. St. John’s University, Jamaica.
Oct. 10: Deadline for TACHS paper registration. Form and fee must be received at TACHS exam office.
Oct. 12: Deadline for submitting request and supporting documentation to diocese for extended testing time accommodation.
Oct. 22: Deadline for Internet and telephone registration.
Nov. 9: TACHS exam for the Archdiocese of New York.
Nov. 10: TACHS exam for the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens.
