Sister Catherine Peter Gallagher M.S.B.T., a member of the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity (Trinitarian Sisters), for 62 years, died on Jan. 28.
Baptized as Eileen, she entered the Trinitarian Sisters from Immaculate Conception Church, Astoria, in 1950, after having graduated from Immaculate Conception Elementary School and St. Jean Baptiste H.S., Manhattan.
She served in both religious education and social service ministries. Her last mission was St. Vincent Services, Brooklyn, where she served for 24 years before retiring in 2008. In retirement, she continued to live in St. Anselm’s parish, Bay Ridge, where she shared her experience and training in social work and religious education.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place in the M.S.B.T. Motherhouse Chapel, Philadelphia, Jan. 31. Burial followed in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Philadelphia.
