Mary Moringiello, 91, who served as secretary to The Editor of The Tablet in the 1990s, died Aug. 13 at the Augustana Nursing Home in Sunset Park.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 17 at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, Bay Ridge.

A lifelong resident of Brooklyn, she lived most of her adult life in Marine Park where she was a member of Good Shepherd parish.

Prior to working for The Tablet, she was a secretary in the guidance department at Bishop Loughlin M.H.S., Fort Greene.

She is survived by her sons, Lawrence and Gerard and daughters, Mary Theresa Nelson of Bay Ridge and Maria Mastromarino of New Jersey, former secretary to Auxiliary Bishop Gerald Barbarito and former secretary to the diocesan Finance Office.

Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village.
