Margaret (Margot) Flanagan, retired principal of P.S. 105, Brooklyn, died Jan. 16 in Maryland where she resided.
A graduate of Bishop McDonnell H.S., Brooklyn, she went on to study at Hunter College and NYU, where she earned a master’s in administration and supervision. She began working with the Board of Education at P.S. 143, and was appointed assistant principal of P.S. 177.
She also served as an assistant to the Board of Examiners, was a member of the Academy of Education and was a past president of the Catholic Teachers Association.
In addition, she was active with the Emerald Society and was named School Woman of the Year in 1983. She also belonged to the Knights and Ladies of the Holy Sepulchre, Delta Kappa Gamma and the Cathedral Club of Brooklyn.
She is survived by her sister, Geraldine Duffy of Rockville, Md.
