Alice P. Gallagher, a member of the Grail International Movement, an organization of lay women, died on Aug. 23, at the age of 92.
Born in Brooklyn, she grew up in Our Lady of Lourdes parish, Bushwick.
She was a staff member of the Pastoral Institute in the 1970s and went on to national and international service of the Grail.
In 1979, she joined the staff of the Grail Conference Center and for 21 years organized and hosted with others, retreats, national meetings, international educational experiences for women of Africa and assisted in building the movement on the East Coast.
Her memorial Mass was celebrated by Father Michael Perry on Nov. 9 at the Grail Center, Cornwall-on-Hudson.
