Sister Jean Patrick Cody, C.S.J., a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Brentwood, for 68 years, died May 22 at the Maria Regina Residence, the sisters’ nursing home.

Formerly known as Sister Patricia Clare, she entered the congregation from the former St. Gregory parish, Crown Heights.

She served locally in the following places: Our Lady of Victory, Floral Park, 1953-54; St. Francis de Sales, Belle Harbor, 1954-61; St. Francis Xavier Academy, Park Slope, 1961-63;  St. Joseph’s H.S., Downtown Brooklyn, 1970-81; Fontbonne Hall Academy, Bay Ridge, 1981-94; and Holy Name School, Windsor Terrace, 1994-2006. She retired in 2006.

Her wake and funeral Mass were held in Maria Regina Chapel on May 28-29. That was followed by her interment at Calvary Cemetery in Brentwood.
