Dear Editor: This letter is prompted by the recent onslaught of anti-Tablet letters.
Our new president is a benediction after 24 consecutive years of quixotic, when not immoral, leadership in Washington, D.C.
The Tablet has long been a lighthouse of truth in our land where freedom of the press is still an American calling card.
As to those who laud The Times – their “Grey Lady” – and its news coverage, let us recall a wee bit of its style: Duranty and Russia, Matthews and Cuba, Welch and McCarthy, William Buckley Jr. and a long ago Police Communion-Breakfast, World War II and Pius XII, the characters of Presidents Clinton and Nixon, DA Morgenthau’s treatment of Roy Cohn, homosexual abuse in Church and government schools, and finally the Aladdin-like canonization of President Obama and the Nobel Peace Prize.
In closing, let’s never forget the relentless resistance of The Times to Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos’ ideas about the evident benefits of diverse schools and their students.
Today The Tablet speaks for all that is good in America, while most of the media has become a humbug mouthpiece for the left wing of the pro-abortion Democrats.
