The Dominican Sisters of Amityville, L.I., installed a new Leadership Council on Sunday, June 23, to assume leadership of the Congregation’s 466 members. From left are: Sister Marguerite Warren, O.P., councilor for wellness, who most recently worked as a math teacher at Bishop Loughlin M.H.S., Fort Greene; Sister Margaret Ann McVetty, O.P., councilor for mission, previously a social worker at St. John the Baptist H.S., West Islip, L.I.; Sister Patricia Anne Hanvey, O.P., assistant prioress and first councilor, recently the life skills coordinator/advocate in prison for Hour Children, Inc.; Sister Mary Patricia Neylon, O.P., prioress, who served the last 28 years as a member of the faculty of Molloy College, Rockville Centre, L.I.; Sister Antoinette De Aveiro, O.P., councilor for charism, former assistant superintendent of the elementary schools for the Diocese of Rockville Centre; and Sister Patricia Marie Koehler, O.P., councilor for stewardship, a former supervisor at Nassau BOCES.
