NET-TV Expands Reach

NET-TV, the diocesan TV channel, can now be seen Verizon Fios, Channel 48, in the New York metropolitan area and beyond.

“This partnership with Verizon allows us to provide a new home to New York Catholics over at Channel 48,” said Msgr. Kieran Harrington, Chairman of DeSales Media Group, parent company of NET-TV. “We are thankful that our distribution partners recognize the importance of making Catholic programming available to all, as we strive to do our very best to help introduce Christ to today’s society,” he added.

With this expansion, NET-TV now reaches beyond the City’s five boroughs to include Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam and Dutchess counties, all of Long Island, and southern Connecticut, including Greenwich.

The announcement comes as NET TV gears up to provide comprehensive coverage of Pope Francis’ first Apostolic Journey of 2016. From Friday, February 12, through Wednesday, February 17, NET TV will report on the Pontiff’s steps throughout Mexico with live coverage from reporters in the field following Pope Francis and with commentary from the channel’s studios in Brooklyn, New York.

NET TV is a cable network featuring news and information with a Catholic point of view, which is available in the New York area on Time Warner Cable, channel 97; Cablevision, channel 30; Verizon Fios, channel 48; and nationally on Verizon Fios On Demand.
