Diocesan organizations and parish groups in need of funds for Christmas should apply immediately for a grant from The Tablet’s Bright Christmas campaign.

Each year, for more than 45 years, The Tablet’s Bright Christmas drive assists parishes and church-related groups in Brooklyn and Queens with funds to purchase Christmas gifts for those in their charge.

Last year, The Tablet distributed more than $100,000 to help with gifts and parties that take place during the Christmas season.

At Thanksgiving, The Tablet will begin a solicitation of its readers to contribute to Bright Christmas.

If you wish to request a Bright Christmas check, email ewilkinson@desalesmedia.org, asking for consideration and explaining how the money will be used. A letter can also be mailed to Bright Christmas, 1712 Tenth Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y. 11215.

Unfortunately, no individual requests will be considered. We will make the funds available only to diocesan-, parish- and church-related groups. The earlier the request, the earlier the funds can be distributed.
