Former Archbishop Molloy H.S., Briarwood, basketball standout Russell Smith was selected June 26 by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 47th overall pick in the second round of the NBA Draft.

The former University of Louisville, Ky., point guard’s rights were then traded to the New Orleans Pelicans.
