Michael A. Mallon, a Catholic Charities employee for over 20 years and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Columba Church parish, Marine Park, died on April 8. He was 55.

Mallon was born on August 7, 1964, to Walter J. and Mary Anne Mallon (nee Durante), both predeceased. He is the son-in-law of Deacon Daniel Marley (predeceased) and his wife Pat Marley.

Mallon was a devoted Catholic who served his community with compassion and selflessness and who will be remembered for his generosity, kindness and goodwill for others, always giving of himself.

He is survived by his wife Erin Mallon and their children Maryann, Katie, Colleen and Brian.

Mallon’s burial was on April 22 at Holy Cross cemetery in Brooklyn.
