Men’s, Women’s Conferences Set

All men are invited to participate in the second annual Diocesan Men’s Conference “Being Missionary Disciples” on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston. The day begins at 8 a.m. and concludes by 4 p.m.

Matt Ingold,  Director of Healing and Retreat Programs for The King’s Men, will deliver the keynote address. Conferences will be held in both English and Spanish.

A light breakfast, lunch, presentations, an opportunity for the sacrament of reconciliation and Mass are planned.

The fee is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Please register online at www.bqonlineformation.org by Feb. 8.

The Diocesan School of Evangelization will also present its fourth annual Diocesan Women’s Conference on Saturday, March 4, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston.

The keynote speaker will be Sister Maria Regina Immaculata, S.V., a member of the Sisters of Life, whose topic will be “Our Lady as the Model Disciple.”

Among the workshop speakers will be Holly Wright, director of Casa Guadalupe, a house of prayer, healing, and vocational discernment for women in Clifton, N.J.; and Joann Roa, coordinator of the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults in the Diocese of Brooklyn.
