Members of the Msgr. McClancy M.H.S., East Elmhurst, girls’ varsity basketball team continued what has become a tradition of attending Mass together as a team as away to open their season.

The team attended Mass Nov. 9 at Corpus Christi Church, Woodside, and received a special blessing from pastor Father Pat West.

Following Mass, the players and their families enjoyed breakfast at the school and then took part in a Q&A session with the coaches to gear up for the start of the season.

The team then held an open practice so the families to experience the day-to-day operations of program.
