Former Msgr. McClancy H.S., East Elmhurst, varsity basketball coach Don Kent was honored by his close friends May 17 at Shepherd’s Hall of Holy Name Church, Park Slope. The event served as a fundraiser to help the coach offset the cost of some of his recent medical bills. Kent is valiantly battling cancer, and the support of longtime friends has undoubtedly helped in the fight.
