Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Academy has a Junior Beta Club that is responsible for conducting school-wide projects, such as collecting food for the food pantry, helping less fortunate children and wounded veterans. Students are encouraged to share their talents with others.
The school offers band along with many opportunities for students to enter art and essay contests. Students frequently win awards that showcase their talents.
Some eighth-grade students attend St. Edmund Prep each morning for a high school class in earth science and Math 9 in preparation for the June Regents. Former students have received over $250,000 in scholarships to St. Edmund Prep, Regis, Xaverian, Bishop Loughlin and Bishop Kearney. Students have also attended Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Tech, Brooklyn College Academy and Edward R. Murrow.
