Margaret Mary Forsyth, S.S.N.D., a member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame for 72 years, died Jan. 20 at Ozanam Hall in Bayside. She was 92.

Born in Brooklyn, Sister Margaret pronounced her vows as a School Sister of Notre Dame in 1948.

Her ministries included Chief of Child Youth Services at Fort Hamilton Army Base in Brooklyn, 1989 – 2005. She also taught in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., as well as in high schools in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Maryland. In her retirement, she resided at Villa Notre Dame in Wilton, Conn.

Her funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 23 at the Villa chapel in Wilton, Conn.
