St. Gregory the Great School, located in Bellerose, is a Catholic elementary school, serving students from nursery age through grade eight.

At St. Gregory the Great School, the pastoral staff, administration, faculty and parents believe that their mission is to strive to maintain a vibrant academic and social environment within a Christian faith-filled atmosphere.

New and exciting things are happening at St. Gregory’s. There is a newly paved schoolyard with games painted for students to enjoy at recess, an early childhood playground and a computer lab with 35 new desktop stations. Each classroom is equipped with a SMART Board, and the school is undertaking a major upgrade of its network to allow use of the 35 iPads anywhere throughout the school campus.

The state-of-the art science lab and fitness room offer students the opportunity to grow both in mind and body. Spanish is offered to all students in grades one through eight and art is offered to students in grades pre-k through eight.

Gym, health, library and computer classes also round out the academic curriculum, which all add up to a quality education for the student body that will superbly prepare them for success in high school, college and beyond!

Many extracurricular activities are part of student life at St. Gregory’s. After school band and clubs, such as Lego club, fitness club, interactive media computer club, drama club and yearbook, allow students to experience relationships with their peers and teachers in a social setting.

As an institution of Catholic education, St. Gregory’s embraces the teaching of Jesus Christ through a daily commitment to spirituality and academics. It strives to provide an environment that fosters strong faith in God, Christian values and the love of learning.
