Father James Devine, chaplain at the Msgr. William Burke Knights of Columbus Council in Rockaway Beach, blesses the Memorial to the Unborn that had been stolen and then was found.

The monument was found partially submerged in Jamaica Bay about four blocks from the Council. Father Devine celebrated a Mass of rededication at the Council with Father Richard Ahlemeyer, pastor of St. Camillus.

Deacon Jim Ruoff of Blessed Trinity parish, Breezy Point, preached the homily, in which he said, “The choice to love is the choice to bring another reflection of God’s love into the world.”
