Lay Ministry Sunday will be celebrated on Sunday, Feb. 26. A conference, hosted by the School of Evangelization’s Pastoral Institute, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Andrew Avellino parish, Flushing. Dr. Valerie Torres from Fordham University will be the guest speaker. Her topic, “Ministering to the Family in Light of Amoris Laetitia,” will be delivered in English and Spanish. A panel discussion will follow and lunch will be served. Auxiliary Bishop Paul Sanchez will celebrate Morning Prayer.
