More than 70 parishioners and neighbors donated blood at a drive organized by the St. Anastasia Knights of Columbus Council No. 5911 in Douglaston last month. The drive was held at St. Anastasia parish with the blessing of Msgr. Anthony Sherman, pastor, and Knights were assisted by local Boy Scout Troop No. 153. In all, New York Blood Center technicians collected 73 pints, which is believed to be a record for St. Anastasia parish.
