The Rosary Society of St. Joan of Arc parish, Jackson Heights, held a pilgrimage to the Holy Doors of Mercy at the Basilica of Regina Pacis in Bensonhurst, Oct. 13. Pilgrims were met by Msgr. Ronald Marino, rector, and Dave Ali, the basilica’s coordinator for Year of Mercy events. Msgr. Marino spoke about the basilica’s art, architecture and history and the new Chapel of St. Joseph. The rite for visiting a designated church in the Year of Mercy was led by Father Anthony Chanan, the Rosarians’ former spiritual advisor, who also celebrated Mass for the group.
