The Long Island Assembly of the Knights of Columbus will hold its 111th annual Independence Day Parade on Saturday, June 25. This year, the City’s oldest American Independence Day Parade has changed venue from Dyker to Carroll Gardens. Beginning at Bergen Street, it will proceed along Court Street to First Place and then swing down to Summit Street. The march steps off at noon.
U.S. Army Sergeant Bryan Dilberian, a wounded combat warrior who had been deployed to Afghanistan, and a member of Brooklyn’s Columbus Council No. 126 of the Knights of Columbus, will be honored with the Knights’ 2016 Pro Patria (For God and Country) Award.
The Grand Marshal is Robert Fox, vice chairman of the Long Island K. of C. Conference (covering Kings, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties).
