When new Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) director Rob Caldera took over in July, 2013, one of his main goals was to establish a CYO Hall of Fame. That vision has become a reality, and the CYO’s inaugural Hall of Fame dinner dance will take place Friday, May 16 at the Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston.
The ceremony will celebrate the CYO’s rich history and honor those individuals that have made significant contributions to CYO as a player, coach, clergy member, coordinator, official, parish representative, athletic director or other member of the community. A 6 p.m. Mass will kick off the event, followed by a 7 p.m. cocktail hour and the Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Tickets are $100 per person and include full cocktail hour; open bar; choice of three entrees and dessert; and raffle entries for door prizes. There will also be a 50/50 drawing. For ticket information and reservations, contact AnnMarie Creighton at the CYO office, 718-281-9548 or acreighton@diobrook.org. Journal advertisements and well wishes are available for purchase.
