You’ve heard of the ice bucket challenge and the water bottle flip challenge, but what about the St. James Cathedral Summer Challenge? The Downtown Brooklyn cathedral is asking parishioners to complete this list by Labor Day: Visit a shrine church; invite a parishioner to share a meal; read the biography of a saint; write a letter to a retired priest or nun; pray a novena for your parish and complete one service day. These are great ways to stay faith-focused this summer, and you don’t have to be a parishioner at St. James to take part.
