Futures in Education is set to award $7 million in this 2018-2019 school year to 4,500 students attending Catholic schools and academies in Brooklyn and Queens. The Annual Scholarship Fund Dinner is a driving force in funding these scholarships as we strive to raise $2.5 million through this special event.
Many families work hard to give their children the gift of a Catholic education; however, so many of them need additional financial assistance to make that gift a reality.
For those of you who are recipients of a Catholic education, you know the benefits of attending Catholic school. Not only do students outperform many of their public school peers, but they also reap the benefits of an excellent education grounded in faith, a faith that can transform their lives.
On behalf of Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio and the Futures in Education Board of Trustees, I invite you to join us for the 2018 Annual Scholarship Fund Dinner to be held on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at Cipriani Wall Street. Consider a donation in gratitude for the education you received while helping us continue the traditions of the Catholic schools and academies serving Brooklyn and Queens.
We are excited to announce this year’s honorees: Joanne Minieri, executive vice president, RXR Realty and Joseph Pistilli, CEO, Pistilli Realty Group and CEO, First Central Savings Bank, both of whom have been longtime supporters of Futures in Education.
Whether you attend in person or in spirit there are many ways for you to support this worthwhile event.

Your support makes Catholic education possible for thousands of children in Brooklyn and Queens. You give them hope for a brighter future. Thank you and know that you will be remembered in my prayers. Please remember me in yours!
