The annual Scholarship Dinner conducted by the Futures in Education Foundation raised slightly more than $2 million to assist children in Catholic schools in Brooklyn and Queens.

Jamie Gigantiello, diocesan Vicar for Development.More than 1,100 people attended the event, which was held Oct. 2 in the main ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria, Manhattan.Sisters of Mercy Mary Mercedes and Terence Mullin applaud as Chris Mullin, Sister Terence’s nephew, is presented an award from Bishop DiMarzio.
Entertainment was presented by school children from St. Kevin’s, Flushing; St. Nicholas of Tolentine, Jamaica; and Resurrection-Ascension, Rego Park.
