Fresh Meadows’ First Graders Get Published

Some people take a lifetime to write their first book. And then, there’s Angela Palazzo’s first-grade class at Holy Family Catholic Academy, Fresh Meadows. Guided by their teacher, students have written, illustrated and published their own keepsake book.

As a class exercise, Palazzo asked boys and girls to think of what they would do if they were “snowed in” at school. They wrote and illustrated their stories, all of which were then professionally bound and published. Every child received a copy of the book, “Snowed In At Holy Family School.”

The first graders can all say they are “published” authors, and have a treasured keepsake for years to come.
