Franklin Edmundo Penafiel, the brother of Father Romel Penafiel, a priest of the Diocese of Loja, Ecuador, who is currently ministering as parochial vicar at Blessed Sacrament, Jackson Heights, died Jan. 2 in Florida.

All arrangements were scheduled to take place in Florida.
