Holy Child Jesus Church, Richmond Hill, will open a Year of Vocations at the parish on the feast of Pope St. John Paul II, Oct. 22.

George Sim Johnston will give a lecture on Karol Wojtyla/St. Pope John Paul II at 4 p.m., followed by 5 p.m. Mass celebrated by Polish-born Auxiliary Bishop Witold Mroziewski. There will be a special surprise for the parish at the Mass. All are welcome to attend. Call 718-847-1860.
