Father Lauder’s 49th Friday Film Festival

The 49th Friday Film Festival, presented by Tablet columnist Father Robert Lauder and the diocesan Office of Faith Formation, School of Evangelization, will run at the Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston, March 20 through May 1.

Here is the schedule:

– John Ford’s “The Quiet Man,” March 20

– Fritz Lang’s” The Woman in the Window,” March 27

– Pawel Pawlikowski’s “Ida,” April 10

– Diego Luna’s “Chavez,” April 17

– Wolfgang Petersen’s “In the Line of Fire,” April 24

– David Lynch’s “The Straight Story,” May 1

Films are shown at 8 p.m., followed by a discussion and question-and-answer period with Father Lauder.

The suggested donation for the series is $25 in advance, or $6 per film at the door. Series tickets may be ordered by mailing a stamped, self-addressed envelope and a check, payable to the RC Diocese of Brooklyn, Attn: School of Evangelization, 310 Prospect Park West, Brooklyn, NY 11215.
