Father Lauder’s Fall Film Festival Kicks Off Sept. 9

Father Robert Lauder and the Office of Faith Formation, School of Evangelization, are proud to present the 52nd Friday Film Festival at the Immaculate Conception Pastoral Center in Douglaston, on six Fridays in the fall.

The schedule includes:

Sept. 9 – Martin Ritt’s “Norma Rae” (1979), starring Sally Field and Ron Leibman

Sept. 16 – Delbert Mann’s “Marty” (1955), starring Ernest Borgnine and Betsy Blair

Sept. 23 – Elia Kazan’s “Pinky” (1949), starring Jeanne Crain, Ethel Waters and William Lundigan

Sept. 30 – Kenneth Branaugh’s “Cinderella” (2015), starring Lily James, Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham Carter

Oct. 14 – Alejandro Gomez Monteverde’s “Little Boy” (2015), with Emily Watson and Tom Wilkinson

Oct. 21 – Alan Pakula’s “Klute” (1971), starring Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland

Films begin at 7:30 p.m. The suggested donation for the series is $25, or $6 for each film. All tickets may be obtained at the door.

Series tickets may also be ordered by mailing a check, payable to the RC Diocese of Brooklyn, Attn: School of Evangelization, 310 Prospect Park West, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11215, with a stamped, self-addressed envelope. NB: For “Cinderella,” a $1 stipend is suggested for those age 18 and younger.
