Father Lauder’s 2019 Fall Film Festival
Father Robert Lauder and the diocesan Office of Faith Formation, School of Evangelization, will present the 58th Friday Film Festival at the Immaculate Conception Pastoral Center in Douglaston over six weeks this fall.
The schedule includes:
Sept. 6 –James Bridge’s “China Syndrome,” starring Jane Fonda, Jack Lemmon, Michael Douglas
Sept. 13 –Spike Lee’s “BlacKkKlansman,” starring John David Washington, Adam Driver, Laura Harrier
Sept. 20 –Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar,” directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, starring Marlon Brando, James Mason, John Gielgud and Greer Garson
Sept. 27 –Paul Schrader’s “First Reformed,” starring Ethan Hawke, Amanda Seyfried, Cedric the Entertainer
Oct. 4 –Ernst Lubitsch’s “Ninotchka,” starring Greta Garbo, Melvyn Douglas, Ina Claire
Oct. 18 –Jerome Robbin and Robert Wise’s “West Side Story” starring Natalie Wood, George Chakiris, Richard Beymer. The suggested donation for the series is $25, or $6 per film. Tickets may be ordered in advance.
