The Diocesan Evangelization Congress at Immaculate Conception Pastoral Center, Douglaston, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31, beginning at 9 a.m. The event is being sponsored by the School of Evangelization. This is the kick-off event for the diocesan evangelization and renewal plan.

Entitled “The Joy of Encountering Christ – The Family’s Hope,” the congress will feature guest speaker, Father Allan Figuero-Deck, SJ, a nationally recognized writer and speaker on Hispanic Catholicism, faith and culture, intercultural competence, spirituality and Catholic Social Teaching.
