Auxiliary Bishop James Massa joined Rev. Philip Hardt, pastor of Glendale Maspeth United Methodist Church, and other Christian leaders for an ecumenical “Seven Last Words of Christ” service on March 25. At the Glendale service participants reflected on the hours Jesus spent on the cross from noon to 3 p.m. The service included hymns, prayers and seven sermons. Preachers included Bishop Massa; Father Ernest Falardeau, Rev. Hardt, Lorraine Miller, Lorraine Gering, Bernie Zablocki and retired pastor Rev. Delroy Murdock.
