Diocese of Brooklyn Night Was a Big Hit

Hosted by the Cyclones at MCU Park

Catholic school students from Brooklyn and Queens were honored on the field before the big game.
 Auxiliary Bishop Raymond Chappetto threw out the ceremonial first pitch

Organized by the DeSales Media Group, the Brooklyn Cyclones hosted Diocese of Brooklyn Night at MCU Park in Coney Island on Aug. 3. Before the game, Auxiliary Bishop Raymond Chappetto and Brooklyn Cyclones’ mascot Sandy the Seagull helped honor Catholic school students from Brooklyn and Queens on the field. They were: Sofia Caridi and Jessica Doherty, St. Margaret Catholic Academy, Middle Village; Natalie DeLaCruz, Queen of the Rosary Catholic Academy, Williamsburg; Tina Marie Patruno, Ave Maria Catholic Academy, Howard Beach; Lauren Solla, Resurrection Ascension Catholic Academy, Rego Park; Nicole Aquino, Holy Angels Catholic Academy, Bay Ridge; Jessica Pierre, St. Gregory the Great Catholic Academy, Crown Heights; Izabella Marcano-Packer, St. Francis Xavier Cathoic Academy, Park Slope; Paul-Edward Blaise, St. Edmund School, Sheepshead Bay; Sophia Sabala, St. Pancras, Glendale; Tai Timmerman and Kelise Joy, both Salve Regina Catholic Academy, East New York.
