Depth and Deceit

Dear Editor: Devastation! (“Former Cardinal McCarrick Defrocked for Sexual Abuse,” Feb. 23) Reading of the depth of evil that invaded the Catholic Church with this and other like articles that have been posted and reported throughout recent times.

The deceit of those we once followed has so deeply destructed this faith, it will take much time and enormous effort to re-establish the honor and glory that Our Lord so strongly deserves.

So many persons have walked away from the Catholic faith, for alternate paths; either in alternate faiths, or have become lost in atheism or the darken obis. Society today sadly demonstrates this too clearly, with its declining values.

In these distressing times, the Church must honestly and earnestly reach out to present and past Catholics, as well as all persons alike, to re-approach with sincerity the simple and truthful faith in God and restart a following in our Catholic faith.

We, as God‘s loving persons, need to pray for the re-building of our Catholic Church and for the faithful following of all persons to again believe in God, and trust in all of Christ’s teaching.
