Catholic Migration Services held a Queens Town Hall on Right to Counsel April 30 at St. Sebastian Parish Center, Woodside. Communities around Queens gathered to discuss their experiences in going to housing court without representation, and how the proposed bill, Intro. 214, will eliminate this hustle in eviction proceedings if passed into law. Over 130 people shared their ideas on how they can push elected officials and get the community involved to make Intro. 214 a reality.
