Saturday at the College of Staten Island, the CHSAA All-Stars in baseball and softball each won their respective N.Y.C. Mayor’s Cup all-star games over the Public School All-Stars.

The softball all-stars earned a 6-0 win, with Fontbonne Hall Academy, Bay Ridge, pitching ace Nicolette Trapani taking home M.V.P. honors.

The baseball all-stars scored a run in the top of the ninth inning to secure a 4-3 win over the public schools. Reynaldo Guillen from St. Raymond’s H.S. the Bronx, was named game M.V.P.

Just like on the basketball court, the CHSAA proved to be the “best in the city” on the diamond.
