The Msgr. McClancy M.H.S., East Elmhurst, community came together Jan. 10 to honor longtime varsity basketball coach Donald Kent, who stepped down from his post prior to this season.

Molloy Softball Star Signs with Columbia
Archbishop Molloy H.S., Briarwood, varsity softball player Alexandra Yule has committed to play softball at Columbia University, Manhattan. The senior pitcher/shortstop earned a spot on the 2014 Tablet All- Star softball team and won the Molloy Coaches’ Award last season.
Msgr. King Tourney Returns to Flatlands
The Msgr. King Basketball Tournament returned to the St. Thomas Aquinas Dec. 26-30. Named after Msgr. Jeremiah J. King – the parish pastor who oversaw the building of the gym – it was the first high school tournament played in a grammar school gym in the country.
