In celebration of Black History Month, the film, “Bakhita: From Slave to Saint,” the story of St. Josephine Bakhita, a Sudanese slave tuned nun who was canonized by Pope John Paul II, will be shown at St. Mary, Star of the Sea parish, Far Rockaway, on Sunday, Feb. 28

Lay Ministry Program Offers Information Sessions

The diocesan Pastoral Institute in the School of Evangelization has announced that it will hold information sessions about its Lay Ministry Program, which will accept a new class to begin classes in September.
