Brother Thomas, F.M.S.

Brother Thomas Delaney, F.M.S., a member of the Marist Brothers of the Schools for 62 years, died Oct. 30 at Champagnat Hall in the Bronx. He was 82.

Born in the Bronx, he attended Mount. St. Michael Academy before becoming a postulant with the Marist Brothers in 1954. He professed perpetual vows in 1961.

He taught at Archbishop Molloy H.S., Briarwood, 1962-65; Saint Helena H.S., the Bronx, 1965-67, and Marist H.S., Bayonne, N.J., 1969-75.

He also ministered in different educational role in Texas and in Kingston and Poughkeepsie, both in New York. For 16 summers, he taught in Dublin, Ireland at the Marist Brothers International Language School.

He lived with the Marist community at Archbishop Molloy H.S., from 2004 to 2007.
