Over 700 boys from Boy Scout troops in Brooklyn and Queens are spending part of this summer at Ten Mile River Scout Camps at Camp Keowa in Narrowsburg, N.Y. While learning life skills, they are also growing in their Catholic faith. In July, they received a special guest, Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio. The bishop celebrated Mass for the young boys and joined them for fellowship. Bishop DiMarzio spent time with scouts and their leaders; Father Thomas Vassalotti, diocesan scouting chaplain, and Brian Long, chairman emeritus of the diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting.
